It's hard for me to talk about myself but I'm going to do the best I can here. I'm an honest (sometimes brutally, in case you hadn't noticed from the paragraph above :)) and direct guy with a caring streak. I don't mince words and there's no guessing what I"m thinking. If you ask me a question, you'll get a direct and truthful answer. I usually come across as reserved with a hard exterior when I first meet you but I'll open up as I feel more comfortable. You'll soon see that the hard exterior is as thick as the shell of an egg. I have a good sense of humor and enjoy bringing out the joy in others. I have a 4-year old son with autism who defines me. We have a strong father-son relationship and I see him frequently so please be understanding of that.

I used to be in law enforcement, a volunteer firefighter, and I'm a USAF veteran and served during Desert Storm. I've received feedback that I carry myself like a police officer still. I've even had a man I was walking past in a parking lot recently say "Hi, Officer!" to me even though I wasn't wearing any kind of uniform.

I do believe that the only real way to determine if there's "chemistry" is by at least meeting over coffee. I'm used to meeting people in person as I'm in sales. I consider myself to be a highly intuitive person and I usually know immediately someone's true intentions whether or not it has been expressed in some way.

I consider myself active and love to workout at the gym. I would do more in the outdoors, like hiking, biking, camping, etc., but it's boring by myself :(

I love the beach. To me, nothing beats a spontaneous trip just because we have time.

I prefer someone who can accept me for who I am without expecting me to change to please her. I'm a strong-willed personality and prefer someone who can handle that. I'm attracted to women who are similar as I prefer a strong advocate when I'm in a state of weakness and I will do the same for her when the roles are reversed.

I prefer women who keep themselves in shape and care about their personal appearance. I'm not looking for the average, overweight, middle aged woman who let herself go. I work very hard to keep myself looking good for my age. If I can do it, what's your excuse?

I'm looking for my best friend and lover. My hopes are that I can find her here.
